Rancharrah Reno Wedding - Katie & Eric

Katie & Eric's wedding day called for rain. It had been raining for a few days before, and everyone was nervous about it raining during the wedding. I told Katie that it doesn't rain on good people, and sure enough, it didn't! (well, not quite enough to count!) You'd never know if it bothered Katie & Eric though, they were the picture of cool calm and collected, and ready to celebrate!

The thunderstorms and clouds offered a wonderful break from the hot hot sun, and provided some dramatic skies for their portraits! You can't ask for a better scenario!

Katie & Eric opted to do a First Look before the ceremony at Rancharrah. They later told me that they were so happy they decided to see each other during that very special moment because they got to have a very comfortable and emotional time together before the momentum of the celebration began! I love first looks. The emotion is always so genuine, and I love being able to capture that for the bride and groom to have forever!

We then walked around the beautiful Rancharrah property to grab some shots of the two of them in some of the property's epic backdrops! Katie & Eric got to enjoy each other a little bit more during this time too, now that's a win-win! The Mansion at Rancharrah combine with a little practicing of their first dance, provided one of my favorite shots of the day!

And then it was time for the beautiful ceremony! Their friend, Mark Lily, was the officiant. I love it when the couple chooses someone close to them to marry them. It makes the day even more special! Katie & Eric cute little daughter was one of their flower girls! She was all smiles! Isn't she cute??

And finally, it was party time!! There were a few moments of gusty wind and some rain sprinkles, but it didn't phase any of the guests and almost as fast as it came swooping in, it was gone, and everyone enjoyed a great night of toasts, dancing, and cake smashing! Such a lovely evening full of love and laughter!

I had the pleasure to have been asked to help Katie & Eric figure out what to do during their first dance, since they had chosen the song "I Only Want to Be With You" by Dusty Springfield. It is not quite a slow song, but not quite a fast song, so they asked for help. I choreographed a little routine for them and we had so much fun teaching and learning together. And on the wedding day they nailed it! Dips and all! :) I was so proud of them!

To Katie & Eric: Thank you so much for asking Alissa and I to be a part of your special day! I felt so honored to be able to document memories that are going to last a lifetime for the two of you! Your love is truly infectious, and I left the day with my heart full.

I wish you a lifetime of happiness together as Mr. & Mrs. Emm! Congratulations!!!
